The Faculty of Education, ranked 4th in 2017 QS World University Rankings in Education, offers one of the country’s leading primary and secondary PGCE programmes.

Its wide research activity includes three Research Centres: PEDAL (Play in Development and Learning), REAL (Research for Equitable Access and Learning), and Cambridge Children’s Literature.

The University Primary School, opened in 2015 for 700 children, works closely with the Faculty of Education. Its remit includes being research-informed and research-generating, bringing theory, research and practice together to raise standards and contribute positively to society.
